The Last Shedding of the Snake 🐍

The last part of the year of the snake brought much change and shedding to my life and I am feeling so happy, grounded, hopeful and excited about how and where I have landed! I have some songs in this email that have helped me dance through this phase of life- enjoy!

Sometimes life makes abrupt changes that feel like they shouldn’t be happening, that feel unfair or just plain shocking. Thank you to my Reiki & meditation practice, combined with an amazing community of kind and loving humans and friends, other practitioners, classes and communities I am a part of, with the support of Mother Nature, the last shedding of the year of the snake has all worked out!

I am no longer working at the office building in Louisville, Colorado, where I first landed in the summer of 2025. I am back in Lafayette, where I live, and in different locations for different offerings (all are within a mile of my house which I feel really grateful for)!

Larger Wheel of the Year Ceremonies

Wheel of the Year Ceremonies are going to be held at The Little Herbal Apothecary, which I’m so excited about! I’ve known the owner, Faith, since I moved to Lafayette, and she has expanded and grown the apothecary into a beautiful space that has a classroom, which she calls the Lounge. I am renting the lounge for our wheel of the year ceremonies, the next one is the spring equinox, celebrating a week late due to spring break schedules, on Friday, March 27th. I’m looking forward to collaborating with Tania Martinez, as we bring a fun evening of welcoming spring with powerful intention setting, using crystal grids, meditation, Reiki and community connection. Please check out the details about the event and grab your spot today, there are only 10 spots available.

Here is a song that got me through the changes of the end of the season- this is a great song to dance to- I shared it in a few of my circles and groups! Enjoy- and it is really a perfect song to shake off the last of the snake skin of 2025!

Then when you are ready to breathe and ground, this song is great to tune into your eternal (and internal) flame! If you are familiar with St./Goddess Bridget of Ireland, this is also a great Imbolc/Bridget song!

Smaller Gatherings and Weekend Classes

Smaller gatherings like the monthly in-person Reiki share (the March circle is already full!) and weekend classes for Be Rooted are now held at a cozy cottage, a healing house, in the center of Old Town Lafayette, owned by my friend and Reiki colleague. I hosted my first class there this past weekend, as I launched the program Be Rooted 1: Embodiment. I hosted a class of 5 incredible humans (4 in person, one on Zoom) who all showed great excitement and interest in learning Reiki this winter. So, I listened to them and my intuition, and decided to re-create and re-organize how I teach Be Rooted (how I teach Reiki). We are starting the 3 month program of Embodiment together- this group came together in such a beautiful way, no one knew each other, yet all have similar intentions. I learned that 5 is the perfect size for a Be Rooted class and the next classes will be 5! Depending on interest, I will start the next cohort this summer or early fall, so let me know if you are interested!

Be Rooted I cohort has begun

The first weekend of Be Rooted, we talk about our mind/body connection and our connection to the cycles of the earth- the seasons- and begin our daily practices. We danced to a few songs about the changing seasons. Again, move your body and dance- such a great way to release and raise your vibration if the heaviness of the world is weighing down on you today.

This one is just so fun and easy to dance to… I hope you are singing and dancing a lot during these dark times of being human in this world!

Scheduling your 1:1 In-Person Reiki Session

1:1 In-Person Reiki sessions are in Lafayette, and I will send you the address after you schedule. Feedback from clients (and me) is that the office is cozy, welcoming, calm, peaceful and with a beautiful connection to nature. ☺️

Rise in Solidarity, A Community Event

I am a core member of Boulder SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice) and if you are local I would like to invite you to our next collaborative event in Longmont, Rise in Solidarity, A Community Event. It is going to be awesome- check out the details here:

A meet-cute for folks who want to get more involved in anti-ICE work and the groups who need them.

Starting with a short film screening and facilitated discussion, and followed by a semi-catered potluck with music and mingling, this event is designed top to bottom as a gentle on-ramp into more meaningful resistance to increasing authoritarianism and the threat it poses to our immigrant neighbors. We'll hear from representatives from local rapid response and mutual aid efforts about what's already underway and how to plug in, and attendees will get the chance to chat directly with each other about their skills and resources, their capacity, and their needs.

Small bites by Teocalli -- bring another dish of your own to share and/or an empty container to take some home!

Sounds by DJ Disco Witch
+ Zine-making workshop upstairs!

Date: March 14th, 2026
Time: 4:00-7:00PM | Film starts at 4:15 | Music and mingling at 5:45
Location: Firehouse Art Center
Cost: FREE!
Donations encouraged and will go to CORRN, El Comité, and BRITE Collaborative, as well as Firehouse Art Center for providing their space

SCHEDULE YOUR REIKI SEASONAL CEREMONIES BE ROOTED REIKI ROOTS A Beltane gatheringto welcome the season Beltane is just around the corner, marking the shift into the fullness of spring and the energy of what’s ready to bloom. This season carries fire, movement, creativity, and growth. And just as much, it asks us to pause long enough to feel it. We’re gathering the weekend after Beltane, on Mother’s Day weekend, for something that feels especially meaningful this year. A space to slow down.A...

SCHEDULE YOUR REIKI A SACRED PAUSE BE ROOTED REIKI ROOTS A clearer path to support your energy Reiki, like any practice, is not a one-walk dog, as my teacher, Dianne Connelly, taught me so well. When you learn Reiki, like any meditation practice, you don’t do it once and you are all cleared out and all good. It becomes a daily practice. Receiving Reiki through a 1:1 Reiki session is the same, it is not a one and done moment. I practice Reiki, share Reiki, and receive Reiki support from others...

SCHEDULE YOUR REIKI A SACRED PAUSE BE ROOTED REIKI ROOTS Before the season moves too fast, take a moment to be in it. Yes, spring is here! Let’s celebrate it together this Friday- 4 spots open for the Spring Equinox Ceremony and Community Gathering! I’m sitting outside of my favorite coffee shop breathing, releasing and grounding the anxious energy that is in my belly and body- spring is here in full force, though it feels like summer today with a high of 90 degrees. Most of the trees are...
